Aaaachooooooo! *sniff* Yep. Hayfever strikes again, even on a wet and grimy, gross day like this. -_- *snooooooooooooort*
Actions Last Week
~Complete edits on Crusades chapter of the secondary timeline
Man, that felt like pulling teeth. I’ve done it though. Just. Still bits I’m not happy with but I’ll get those on my next run through.
~Investigate means to produce cover art for ‘Dead or Alive’ cover
Yep. I’ve been playing about with Canva as recommended by some of the lovely Breathless Press crew, and I’ve been working in Photoshop, brushing up on my mask/cutting/blending skills. Let’s just say if I do take this route, it’s going to be a LOT of work . . . but it will be cheaper. In fact, if I play my cards right, the only thing I’ll spend is time. Hmm . . . but can I afford it?
~Make two review requests (in person/via email/via blogs/via strangers) for ‘Silk Over Razor Blades’
Sorted. Apparently if I make teeny, weeny targets for review requests, they are easier to handle. Plus I also have my first very review! Thanks very much to Dane of Social Bookshelves. If you’ve not seen the review yet, I invite you to view it here and his video update on all the books he received for June, here.
~Read over PWG groups on first section of ‘Dead or Alive’
Yep. I know what I need to do now. And given that I now understand how I intend to release this story, it should be fun to get it neatened up. Not sure how to fit it in to the scheduling though. o.O
Activities For This Week
- Complete half the remaining secondary timeline edits (from the 1815 battle sequence, should be x2 chapters)
- Test drive another couple of ‘Dead or Alive’ cover art options
- Make two review requests (in person/via email/via blogs/via strangers) for ‘Silk Over Razor Blades’
Thoughts…
Don’t want to load myself with two much this week. From Thursday DSB will be off LARPing again which means four days out of the seven day week that I just don’t have. Squeezing these little bits in before she goes should mean that we can all enjoy the weekend in the woods largely guilt free . . . aside from all the alcohol and chocolate of course. o.O
