I feel so delicate. Like I’ve been walking on tip-toes over a carpet of needles for a week. I’m not quite sure why I feel that way, but it’s an interesting sensation that I’m (one day) going to find a way to sneak into a novel and/or short story. Emotions and sensations like this shouldn’t be wasted! Everything is fodder! Remember that. ;-)
So what have I been up to? Let’s see, shaaaaaall we?
Ensure each blog host has a complete pack of info, including images
Done. I’ll held off on this until yesterday trying to eke things out as long as possible, but I can’t wait now. People need to have their data, just in case.
Prepare KDP for ebook release including all uploads
Done. All I need to do is hit ‘go.’
Make changes to the Silk Over Razor Blades blog page
Sorted. This page is now the go-to page for excerpts of this novel going forward. This means that you may well recognise that text from other promotional materials, but the information at the head and foot of the page regarding the text is now up to date. I’ll only need to change it when I know which way my luck swings with Angry Robot.
I’m a bit behind with the paperback if I want to be ready for 1 December release, but there really is no point in rushing at this stage. Things must be as close to perfect as I can get them with my current skill set and facilities.
- Chase up final wrap around cover in correct dimensions and upload to CreateSpace
- Order proof copies of book
- Design bookmark for prize winners and be ready to order (do NOT order until status is confirmed)
That’s it now. Come December this will reach it’s peak one way or another and I can begin to focus on other things. I just need to get through this week.
This is it folks, seven days to go.
