Hi everyone. Another week gone by, another post of exciting things to talk about. With the release of the third ‘Meeting Each Other’ story pending, I thought I’d better let you see the cover.
In a switch to my usual method, I got help in choosing the photo on which the design was based. I gave mailing list subscribers a selection of four to choose from and left a poll open for people to do the biz. If you’re curious… these are the shots they had to pick from.
- Option One
- Open Two
- Option Three
- Option Four
Pic1 didn’t even get a look in – which was interesting, as I quite liked it – but in the end, with an impressive 66% of the total votes, Pic4 took the prize.
Thanks everyone for voting. I REALLY appreciate it and I’m pleased that it worked out so well. I hope you’ll work with me in future with more things like this as your input is so valuable to me.
So… presenting, the cover of Bill, latest in the six-part Meeting Each Other Series:
I’m very excited about this one as it marks the half-way point. Somewhere I never thought I’d be this time last year. I need to think more seriously about releasing the special edition with all the stories inside and perhaps some bonus content. I’ve been thinking about this a great deal and I think that’s a fabulous way to round it all off.
In fact… if you were picking up a book with extra content in the back, what might you expect to see? What additional features (besides good stories and a fair price) would convince you to part with your money?
I’d love to hear your ideas. And… how knows? I may even be able to wrangle it for you. ^_^
Next week I’ll have an excerpt for you as well as some quote art (which I quite enjoy making).
I hope you like the cover. Don’t be shy about letting me know what you think; I really do value what you have to say.
Last Week
~Continue deep edits on Slippers & Chains
Done! Which may be why I have bags under my eyes and trouble sleeping. I just couldn’t stop. I love this story so, so much. Past and recent feedback has made me burn to get it out there so I just powered through it. Now I’m stealing Ileandra’s method and putting the work back into digital form where I can work on the last few spots that need tidying. After that, I send it to betas.
~Chase up Bill cover art from Angie
Done. As you can see. Thanks again, Angie, you are an absolute WONDER!
~Finalise details to go in press kit for solo website
Nope. 😦 I mean, I know what’s going in it, but I haven’t written it yet. I’m thinking of using a similar format to Ileandra, but I’m not sure it will suit me as well as it suits her. Our sites have quite different styles – which you’ll see when the time comes – even if the page headings are similar. Hmm. I’ll have to spend a bit more time mulling on that, though I should work on getting that content done. That’s not the hard part.
With that in mind….
This Week
-
Transfer deep edits of Slippers & Chains back into digital form
-
Begin deep edits on Eric & Morgan (for real this time) just one page to start myself off. That’s the goal until the rest is done
-
Finalise details to go in press kit for solo website (for real this time :-p)
-
Read at least one peer blog post a day (within or around my genre)
*skims* Yep. That should be plenty. As ever, I don’t want to overdo it and I have lots of other responsibilities I suppose I should keep an eye on.
I like to be busy though.
