It’s Here! It’s Finally Here!

First, An Apology
Yes, I hadn’t realised on Monday that I made no mention of the new posting schedule. 😦 Following the month long break I’ve decided to reduce posting here to twice a week. There are several reasons for this, but the main one is that I need to ensure that I’m using the time I have to write productively. Since I’m working so hard at fiction and non fiction, it’s key that I dole out my time in a sensible way. So, from today (or Monday, if you’re picky) the posting schedule for this blog will be twice a week; Mondays and Fridays.
The Wait Has Ended
HAAAAAAAAAA! At last! I feel like the lead up to this has been crazy long and I apologise for that. The perfectionist in me wouldn’t stay away. I’ve given her a slap, anyway, and told her to leave me alone, because perfection is not what this phase of the project is about. This phase of the project is about simply sharing something I have written with you. And sharing it in a new and unusual (for me) way.

Slippers & Chains Banner image, version one

A light hearted study of Karen and Daniel, an established heterosexual couple moving onto the next stage of their loving relationship. Their best friends are crazy, their parents are controlling, their jobs are mindless and boring. In fact, they are just the same as any other couple… except… they happen to live the BDSM lifestyle.

The idea has been bubbling away in my mind for some time and I’ve been reading small sections to my critique group. They’re interested and I’m hoping that you will be too. I have separate the story into four parts, each piece a complete and standalone novella. The first novella (at 27k words) is separated into chapters and each chapter will be read here. In full. By me. On video!

Ahhhhhh waaa ha haaaa!

Yes I’m excited about it too. And yes, I’m terrified. I’ve discovered through the course of filming that I hate the sound of my voice (which makes my past radio career even funnier) and that despite being a complete camera whore, delivering words to a lens is actually pretty tricky. Doing it with a cold is horrible. 😦 I’d imagine that as the story progresses and as I get used to it, I’ll find it easier. Time will tell on that score.
So What Comes Next
I’ll create a page dedicated to this with links to each video as they become available. I’m hoping for a weekly posting schedule, but that depends very much the usual factors (sleep, creative verve and technology playing nice).

There is a little bit of tweaking to do, but all being well, the video file will be ready to view on Monday. ^_^ Are you excited yet? Are you buzzing? Hehee, catch you all then!
Peace! x

About Ileandra Young

I'm a thirty-*mumbles* year old (purple loving, cheese worshipping) author of fantasy, juggling a pair of beautiful twin boys with my burning desire to make up stories and write them all down. When I get the chance, I play games, listen to music, and in days long past I even ran a radio show. Though I occasionally write non-fiction, my heart lives in fantasy and my debut novel, Silk Over Razor Blades is now available through Amazon along with part two of the trilogy, Walking The Razor's Edge.
