What a lovely weekend! ^_^ I hope you guys can boast as good a Christmas as we’ve had. Family, (too much) food and other pleasant company all over the shop. A little stressful at times, but what isn’t?
Actions Over The Past Fortnight
~Write blurbs for the last three Dead and Alive episodes
Done! Though I can only add pre-orders onto Amazon three months ahead, so I can’t put them all up yet. Never mind, I’ll put entries in my diary to get them up as soon as I’m able, that allows the biggest pre-order window possible. ^_^
~Create cover art for Dead And Alive episodes four and six
At last! I finally have a cover for episode four that I like. It took a lot of doing, but this puts over the tone and feel I want without being too complex. There will be a ‘big reveal’ later on.
~Complete proof of physical ‘Walking The Razor’s Edge
Yep. Couple of tweaks required and a small continuity issue that popped up while I was going through ‘On A Knife Point’ so I was able to fix that too. Much like I found just before I released ‘Silk Over Razor Blades‘ actually. Phew! I tell you, this may be the last time I do a trilogy; it’s hard work!
~Complete deep edits on at least half of ‘On A Knife Point’ (around 45,000 words)
Yeeeeeeah. I started yesterday. I managed one chapter.
-_-
Ho hum. I knew it would be a stretch and I’ll readily admit that I made these plans utterly forgetting that the Sprogs would be off school, losing me three hours of work every weekday. But I’ve started and that’s what counts.
Activities For This Remains of the Year
I’m not an idiot. I know that in the three days left of the year (one of which DSB is going to spend in Birmingham) I’m not going to get as much done as I might otherwise. But there are some things I can still get done. So:
- List ‘Dead And Alive: Episode Four’ as a pre-order (and episode five if dates allow)
- Complete deep edits on one chapter of ‘On A Knife Point’
Thoughts…
Given what my plans were at the start of the year, I’m too elated to be annoyed that I didn’t complete the deep editing. I may also be buzzing slightly from all the flavoured booze I’ve been drinking. Meh. Either way, I’m pleased with what I’ve done and looking forward to wrapping it all up on December 31.
