Yes, this is a bit late. Oops. Probably should have posted this on Tuesday, but a combination of too many birthdays and general fatigue made it impossible. o.O Well, not impossible so much as I just didn’t feel like it. :p
I said I’d be taking part in the challenge; aiming to write 15,000 words in May. Well, despite the long procession of guests and celebrations I have been writing! Mainly on my phone and on paper (paper, what’s that?!) but it has been happening. When I kicked off last week I had 1,689 words by day two. Now, this is what my chart looks like.

Phew! Not so bad then. 🙂
Also, it’s not just me mad enough to take part in this. I thought I’d point out some of the other mad folk taking part in the 15k in May word count challenge. Here they are:
Maria Smith
Dee Kirkby
Wayne Kelly
Ruth Livingstone
Lynne (In Peterborough)
I don’t think I’ve missed anybody, but if I have, give me a quick slap and I’ll add them on.
Hope you guys are all doing well and carefully, gleefully plugging away. Catch you next week! For another (hopefully on time) update!
Well done, good to hear you got some words done. Damn our pesky families! Hope the twins are well. Love the thermometer – what a great idea. I’m off to pinch one….

Great aren’t they? I use them all the time for things like this. I find have a graphic really quite motivating. I love seeing the little bar keep moving.

Good going Leah – always difficult to balance writing with the demands of family and friends. Keep up the good work!

It’s mainly balancing writing against my own lethargy that’s the problem now! Hopefully I can crack it tonight and move on.
