The Book Fairy Lives!

I’m so excited! It’s been ages since an idea of mine has come together so nicely, but after agonising over the design of the stickers I want to use I have finally nailed it. ^_^ The stickers are ordered and will be winging their way over to me shortly. Well… I say shortly; the delivery notice said ETA 15/12/12. A bit longer than I was expecting, but I suppose there’s no need to rush.

All I need to do now is choose which books are going to get the Book Fairy treatment, first!

I imagine that such a task will be easier than I first imagined now that I’ve transferred the books I intend to keep over to the new shelves and out of the boys’ room. In fact, what that exercise has also done, is reveal several books that I have apparently borrowed and not returned! And books that I have loaned out and not received back. More than that, it has revealed how OCD (CDO!) I can really be.

All of my books are arranged on the shelves in blocks according to author and series. If I couldn’t get a block to fit on the shelves it had to be moved so the books could stay together. Needless to say what should have been a quick and easy organisational exercise took me the better part of a whole afternoon. *sigh* Never mind, it is done!

The first round of Book Fairy offerings should contain in the region of five books. I’ll be sure to let you know when the page goes live and when the first books are out in the world. For now, I’ll leave you with a sneaky peek at one of the images from the sticker (part of me wants to reveal the whole thing now, but the rest of me is enjoying the suspense. Besides, I haven’t even seen them printed yet, so you all have to wait too!).

About Ileandra Young

I'm a thirty-*mumbles* year old (purple loving, cheese worshipping) author of fantasy, juggling a pair of beautiful twin boys with my burning desire to make up stories and write them all down. When I get the chance, I play games, listen to music, and in days long past I even ran a radio show. Though I occasionally write non-fiction, my heart lives in fantasy and my debut novel, Silk Over Razor Blades is now available through Amazon along with part two of the trilogy, Walking The Razor's Edge.
