Now… I know, strictly speaking, that the award is ‘One Lovely Blog,’ but as soon as I read the nomination, I thought; ‘how loverly.’ I kid you not.
Right, now that’s out of my system, let’s get on with it.
Kate over at 4amWriter was kind enough to nominate me for the One Lovely Blog award almost a month ago! Not only that, but she made her own acceptances rhyme! I’m nowhere near as good as that – nor do I have the time to organise that – but you should check out the post. Its a cool little string of rhymes. 🙂
Now, I promised last time that I would follow the rules a bit more with this, so I need to tell you (more) seven things about myself. o.O
- I don’t like brussel sprouts. Those things were sent to test me!
- I was almost eleven years old before I decided I liked pizza; previous to that I’d refused to try it!
- I’ve used my keyboard soooo hard over the years that all the letters have worn off. I’ve refused to change it because 1) I don’t need the letters – I touch type – and 2) no other keyboard is quite as comfortable as this one.
- When I cook, I never measure anything. Ever. All flavouring, seasoning and the like is done by eye and luck. I’ve not poisoned anybody yet, so I can’t be doing badly!
- Last week I made yoghurt with my own breast milk (Juls, that’s totally your fault!). It wasn’t actually all that nice. 😦 I’ll have to try again with another batch because I think I did it wrong.
- I have never once shaved my legs – not that you’d ever know. 🙂
- I used to hate children. Yes… I’ll admit it; I just never got on with them. Boy, how fast some things can change!
Hehee, I wonder how much of that would qualify me for an other TMI Award? :p

Hahaha! I wonder if there’s a difference in the making of yoghurt yoghurt and breastmilk yoghurt? God, your questioning has lead me down a while weird path in culinary curiosity.

It worked the same way when I did it, but I was trying to strain the whey off and left it too long. Not only that, but I left it out the fridge (!!!) which meant it tasty lovely right until the end. There was a very odd after taste. But… I think I’ve cracked it now.
I’ve got a lovely sample in the fridge, a bit lumpy, but mega tasty. So I can probably try it with breastmilk again. ^_^ If I can get it right, the kids will love it *fingers crossed*

Never shaved or waxed. I just don’t really need to.
I get the feeling that makes me really lucky in the eyes of most, but I’ve never really thought about it before. O.o

My question exactly. Heavens, if I didn’t shave, you’d have to come looking for me after a month or so with a machete to clear the thick ‘vines’ and ‘stalks’. LOL!

Hooray! Love your fun facts. I don’t measure anything when I’m cooking if I am familiar enough with the recipe. But first time, I usually check . Unless I’m making a Kate’s Kreation–then it’s all on a wing and a prayer. 🙂

I think the last time I even looked at a recipe it was for scones and I was so unconvinced by the measurements that I just made it up.
Let’s just say that I liked them, which is fortunate, because there were about 12 and not many others seemed keen. o.O

Congratulations and totally well-deserved. 🙂 I’ve heard of using breast milk in baking before, but never for yogurt. I know women didn’t do anything like that in my mother’s day!
I usually measure for recipes. I always think I’ll ruin the dish if I try to improvise. 😉

Ooo I never thought of trying it in baking. ^_^ I’m going to have to see what happens in something like rock cakes. I always put milk in those when I make them.
