Writing: A Conversation Without Interruptions

Today is the first day of being able to dedicate the full allotment of writing time to this project. No Raven getting in the way, and just the one blog for DSB to take care of.

I’m writing this note early today as I feel that I’ve done exceptionally well and that I’m going to have another night off. Can you say Movie Night! Anyway, it’s not a night completely off. I consider watching films (and making notes) a vital part of the creative process. Learning what makes a good story, how characters are built and how hooks/red herrings/victories are portrayed is important for a writer. 😉

Anyway, today’s words is 6,206 which takes my total word count up to 21,366.

Heh, nadda bad. And the story is just starting to get going now, I really feel it every time I start another sprint (though that fact in of itself tells me that a lot of this first draft is going to need to be cut).

How are you guys doing?

Oh, and if there’s going to be any more, I’ll tell you about it tomorrow. Don’t expect another post tonight. ^_^

Today is day five.
Today is an exceptionally grand day all around!
Today Raven finished her first draft of her next novella and I have passed the 25% marker for completion of NaNo. ^_^

Remember, however, that the 50k word count is grand, but not the actual goal. My goal is to finish the draft, whether it hits 35k or 100k. I want the story written in full before December begins.

So . . . you see . . . my work is only just beginning. 😉

But, in the mean time, today’s achievements deserve an early night!

Tis going really well actually.
Today was a FINE day for getting the words down. Whoop! ^_^
