Stickers! Stickers! Stickers!

In a break from our usual Sunday programming, I have another update on The Book Fairy. ^_^

MY STICKERS ARE HERE!

I knew it wouldn’t take as long as they were saying it would, but when they popped through the door on Friday morning I was more than a little stunned. And they’re so beautiful! The best part is that now I have them, I can show you!

This is the label that will be on the front of all books being handed out by the Book Fairy!

The first book to go out, Darren Brown’s Digital Fortress, has its sticker in place and is ready to go. All I need to do now is figure out where I want to put it! Check in later and I’ll let you know where I put it.

So excited! I really hope people enjoy the books I’m giving out. If it goes a little way towards getting more people reading, then I can only be pleased by that. If it introduces new authors, styles, genres to people who do a lot of reading anyway, then even better. If I can offer someone who has finished their newspaper a little bit of entertainment, then that’s good too.

About Ileandra Young

I'm a thirty-*mumbles* year old (purple loving, cheese worshipping) author of fantasy, juggling a pair of beautiful twin boys with my burning desire to make up stories and write them all down. When I get the chance, I play games, listen to music, and in days long past I even ran a radio show. Though I occasionally write non-fiction, my heart lives in fantasy and my debut novel, Silk Over Razor Blades is now available through Amazon along with part two of the trilogy, Walking The Razor's Edge.

  6. What a fantastic idea!!! These books you’re giving away … are they just old books you no longer want, or did you buy them specifically for this purpose?

    • At the moment it’s books I don’t want, though I hope to keep it going later by buying books for it. I figure charity shops can use my custom and it may go towards getting more people reading. It also gives me a chance to raid Waterstones and WH Smiths for more books! :p

What a brilliant and lovely idea. As an avid reader myself I love it when friends hand me a bag of books, I’m like a child in a sweet shop and can’t wait to look inside. I would love to be able to buy some of these stickers from you to put on books I’ve finished and enjoyed then hand them out myself, especially as we travel around a lot in our camper van, I could spread them round England and Europe

    • I’m happy to do that if you like. 🙂
I need to print off a new batch any way (I’ve used all of mine!) and make a couple of tweaks to the web address to reflect the new domain.

Let me know and I can ping a couple of sheets your way.

Yes definitely, just let me know what you want me to do. We’re off at the end of next week for 3 months so if you could possibly get them to me before then that would be great as I’ll take an extra load of books I’ve already read and start spreading the love for reading and your website details 🙂
